Pot Light Installation
in Calgary
From a single room refresh to a full-home transformation — we install recessed LED pot lights that look beautiful and last decades.
What Are Pot Lights?
Recessed lighting that disappears into your ceiling.
Pot lights (also called recessed lights or can lights) are installed flush into your ceiling, leaving only the trim visible. The result is a clean, modern look with no bulky fixtures hanging down.
We install energy-efficient LED pot lights that use 75% less energy than halogen bulbs, run cool, and last 25,000+ hours — so you won't be changing bulbs for decades.
Calgary homeowners love them for kitchens, living rooms, basements, and hallways. They make spaces feel larger, brighter, and dramatically more modern.

FAQ
Common questions.
Will you damage my drywall?+
We cut precise holes and patch any drywall neatly after the install. You won't see the difference — and most customers can't even tell we were there.
What if I have insulation in my ceiling?+
We use IC-rated (insulation contact) pot lights specifically designed for insulated ceilings. They're safe, code-compliant, and fully Alberta Energy Code approved.
Are your pot lights dimmable?+
Yes. We use LED-compatible dimmer switches and quality dimmable LED bulbs on every install. Smooth, flicker-free dimming from 100% down to around 5%.
How many pot lights do I need per room?+
A good rule: one 4" light per 4–6 sq ft, or one 6" light per 6–8 sq ft. A 12×14 living room typically needs 8–10 lights. We help you plan the layout during the quote.
Do you pull the permit?+
Yes, always. Every pot light installation requires a permit through the City of Calgary. We handle the permit, inspection scheduling, and paperwork — you don't lift a finger.
How long does a typical install take?+
Most jobs are done in a single day. A 6-light install in one room takes 3–4 hours. A whole-home project with 20+ lights is typically one full day.
Can you add lights to a room with existing pot lights?+
Absolutely. We match your existing light size and style so everything looks uniform. We can also upgrade old halogen pot lights to modern LEDs at the same time.
What's included in the price?+
Everything: permit, all wiring and electrical materials, LED bulbs, and cleanup. The only thing you supply is a working electrical panel with capacity.
